In the next sporting event which will happen in 2021 summer, some basketball superstars can not take part in two tournaments at the same time. The spectators have to accept the fact that they don’t have a chance to appear in one of these competitions. As you probably know, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games had to be postponed until the end of July in 2021 and there is one prediction that it will organize the same date as the NBA.
According to Adam Silver’s statement, the competitions of the NBA will last continuously and players don’t have any breaks to relax. Due to the rapid outbreak of COVID 19, all activities of the NBA have to be delayed, especially some important finals which are held in October. If the season with 82 matches goes on as scheduled, the 2020 Olympics games will start while the events of the NBA are happening.
“ We have to discuss and find the best solution to this problem. However, if the competition begins later than planned, there will have no time for Olympic to relax.” – Silver answered from Orlando. “ We wonder if the NBA can make some small changes so that players can have opportunities to participate in both two famous tournaments. But this is impossible because basketballers need time to practice as well as relax after each match.”
The difference between two tournaments sometimes decreses the strength of the United States basketball team. In 2019 FIBA World Cup, the US team had an unsuccessful season with low scores and only ranked at 7th in the list. If the NBA doesn’t postpone until the Olympics Games is over, the national team has to take part in the competition with some normal palyers who don’t have any special talent.
“ All of us want that there will have a strngest absketball team who may represent for the national to participate in the 2021 Olympic Games. I think that other teams also have the same desire like that. However, if we delay our own competition to make the Olympic Games better, who can make sure that the next summer time will be ok ? It is also a big matter that the headers of NBA consider much up to now.
